Barbara Brown Taylor, in her 2009 book "An Altar In the World," writes, "As much as most of us complain about having too much to do, we harbor some pride that we are in so much demand." In this week's Scripture reading (Psalm 127), Solomon writes that we cannot build a better life by working too hard, and yet isn't that exactly what we feel compelled to do? I know I feel guilty when I'm not working hard, and (can I say it)? holy when I am. Join the people who are Aloha Church of God this Sunday (11/11 at 10:15) for "Working Ourselves to Death to Make a Better Life." We'll save a seat for you
